Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect only what the marketplace needs to work. Your address and contact info are hidden from professionals until you choose to share them. We never sell your personal information, and we use trusted providers to host the site and send emails.

1. Who we are

Connexli ("Connexli," "we," "us") operates connexli.com and app.connexli.com, a marketplace where homeowners invite licensed real estate professionals to compete for their business. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@connexli.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and a password, which we store only in protected (hashed) form.

Homeowner property information. When you create a listing request we collect general property details: ZIP code, city, approximate neighborhood (optional), home type, size, year built, condition, HOA status, desired price range, priorities, and your chosen proposal window. We deliberately do not ask for your street address.

Professional information. When a real estate professional registers we collect their real estate license number, brokerage, and primary service ZIP code, which we convert to an approximate city, state, and map location to match nearby opportunities. License information is checked against state licensing records as part of verification.

Proposal information. Professionals submit proposed fees, services, marketing plans, and cancellation terms, which are stored and shown to the requesting homeowner when the proposal window closes.

Waitlist information. If you join our out-of-state waitlist on the marketing site, we collect your role, email address, and state.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. The app uses an essential session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how visitors use our pages (for example, which pages are viewed and where people drop off) so we can improve the Service. We run it in cookie-less mode, meaning it does not set analytics cookies on your device, and we do not use it to show you advertising.

3. How we use information

To operate the marketplace: matching requests with nearby verified professionals, running sealed proposal windows, and making connections you choose.
To verify professionals' licenses and keep the marketplace trustworthy.
To send transactional emails you'd expect: verification decisions, new opportunity alerts, proposal-window results, and connection notices.
To protect the platform against fraud, abuse, and misuse, and to comply with law.

4. The privacy promise at the heart of Connexli

Professionals see only general property details while a request is open. Your name, exact address, and contact information are hidden until you choose to connect with a specific professional. When you connect, your name, email, and phone number are shared with that one professional only, and their contact information is shared with you. We never release your contact information to professionals you did not choose.

5. When we share information

Service providers who help us run Connexli: website and database hosting (Render), transactional email (Resend), waitlist form processing (Formspree), and usage analytics (PostHog). They may process data only to provide services to us.
Between users, as you direct: the sealed-proposal and connection flows described above.
Legal reasons: if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Connexli or others.
Business transfers: if Connexli is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. How long we keep information

We keep account and marketplace records while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business purposes such as record-keeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

7. Security

Connexli uses encryption in transit (https), hashed password storage, access controls, and daily database backups. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we take protecting your information seriously and will notify affected users of any breach as required by law.

8. Your choices and rights

You can review and update your account information by logging in.
You can request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@connexli.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and verify your identity before acting.
Transactional emails are part of operating your account; if you no longer wish to receive them, you may close your account.

9. Children

Connexli is for adults. Our services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and take reasonable steps to notify you, such as email or a notice on the site.
